Azran Osman-Rani
CEO of iflix Malaysia

​Azran Osman-Rani is currently the CEO of iflix in Malaysia, and the COO of iflix Group. He is a member of the start-up team that launched the iflix service, an internet, subscription-based Video-On-Demand service offering TV shows and movies. This includes building up the team, securing MSC-status, leading the marketing function and forming strategic distribution partnerships with leading telecommunications, device manufacturers, and banking partners. 4 months into launch, iflix is now available in Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand, with over 200,000 activated subscribers.

Prior to iflix, Azran was the founding CEO of AirAsia X, a disruptive low-cost, long-haul airline that grew from 1 aircraft in 2007 to an IPO in 2013, reaching annual revenues in excess of RM3 billion. He previously held positions as Senior Director of Business Development of Astro All Asia Networks, SVP at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, and Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. He holds a Masters in Management Science and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, both from Stanford University. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and an Ironman triathlete.
